Seaside Trip?

Introducing the newest member of my Vocaloid family. Kaito was the first ever Nendoroid I ordered, and was the last one to arrive, taking a whopping 11 months from date of order to delivery. Very glad to have got him now though. He’s the sweetest thing and my fave figure now.

I got to a point where I thought I may not get him and that there would be a gap in my collection. Thankfully I have Kaito now. Although there is still a Meiko shaped gap in my Vocaloid family. Come on Good Smile, what are you waiting for?

The weather was too bad to do a full on figure review, but we still had some fun. I was desperate to go out and take photo’s because I used a new camera for these shots. I was determined to go out and play this weekend no matter what the weather.

Poor Len looks miserable as it was so could. He was complaining a lot.

Although the images are far from perfect because of the lighting conditions and rain, I think they came out pretty  good, especially since using my new camera (a Sony a350 dslr) is very different to using my old Samsung point and shoot.

Don’t you just hate it when someone jumps into a picture you’re trying to take?

My dslr is very confusing to me still at the moment, but I think given my inexperience and the conditions I got some good shots. Although one annoying thing is that unless the camera identifies a focus point, it won’t take a picture. I press the shutter button but it wont take the picture unless it’s highlighted a focus point itself. Very annoying. Is that usual for dslr or is there something I can do to change that?

Kaito sorted Miku out for me, no more jumping in photo’s for her now.

Sadly all these photos were taken in jpeg mode. I fully intended to shoot RAW but I guess in my excitement to get out there I overlooked that factor.

It was too wet to take pictures actually on the beach today which is a shame, but I can tell I will really enjoy this place during the spring/summer months! It’s not a proper beach or seaside actually, it’s just a small foreshore really, but it’s a really nice spot.

Rin is a mischievous girl and runs off on her own a lot. She’s bright enough that she’s always easy to find though.

Uh oh, Rin, it’s not a passage, it’s just a storm drain…..

Len was still complaining about the cold a lot. Kaito in the end decided that being the responsible adult he is, he would lend Len his scarf. Looks like Len is warming up already. But what’s that sniffling sound?

Oh dear, now Kaito is cold instead!. I guess it’s time to pack up and go home.

I hope we didn’t leave anything behind.
