The head and body parts I've ordered.

After years of owning bjd, I’ve always wanted a 1/6 scale doll but I always end up getting a new figure or a new bjd instead. Well this week I found out that my employment agency owed me some holiday pay.

I happily found out I’m expected to get about £200 after tax. So I decided that I couldn’t blow the lot on a new bjd since I needed some new clothes and shoes. But I would be able to afford a 1/6 doll. So that’s what I’ve done.

I’ve brought a 1/6, 25cm Obitsu body and a Parabox head from Mimiwoo as seen in the pic. I went for the small bust normal skin body and a blank face with no rooted hair. I’m going to give her an anime styled faceand I’ve ordered some gorgeous hair from My Little Customs in Poison Ivy. I’ve read up on a lot of doll rooting and rerooting tutorials and I have decided to have a stab at it (pun intended).

I’ve opted for rooting instead of a wig because I’ve found that not only are wigs for 1/6 scale dolls very limited, but also Chun of puppy52 kindly told me that wigs can sometimes have a weight issue on such small dolls.

So, hopefully it all goes well and I’ll have a cute new doll addition to show of on the blog. I’m not expecting to get the parts before Christmas now, so it might be a while before we see her. I’m sure it will be well worth waiting for though.
